Nspire is Recruiting!

Nspire was founded a little over a year ago with high hopes of fostering future leaders and empowering our members through helping them develop their skills and expertise. Since then we have held a series of monthly events tailored to both undergraduates and graduate students of diverse disciplines yet with a common desire for self-development professional growth. We are currently also readying a phenomenal conference to mark the tenth year anniversary of the National Business and Technology Conference.

Here is where you come in to the picture. If you are interested in a challenging and rewarding experience on the 2010-2011 team, we encourage you to attend the Nspire Recruiting event. It will give you the chance to learn more about the organization, our goals and ideals, and also meet and learn from past and current executive members to see whether you would be a good fit for the team. You will have a chance to hear from past executives about their experience and how they found that their acquired skills and knowledge transferred over to their current careers in industry. Edward On, Civil Engineering 0T7+PEY >> Co-Chair NBTC 2007

Edward On is a Business Analyst in Deloitte Consulting’s Corporate Strategy practice. At Deloitte, Edward has been supporting the creation of a business unit of a Canadian energy supplier through generating new processes and procedures. Prior to Deloitte, Edward worked at the Bank of Montreal’s Intranet Solutions group as the business requirements lead for anti-money laundering efforts, platform currency projects and work with Corporate Intranet and Corporate Marketing. Edward holds a B.A.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Toronto. Edward was the Co-Chair of NBTC 2007 and been involved in various other conferences at UofT.

Patrick Mok, Industrial Engineering 0T7+PEY >> External Director NBTC 2007

Patrick is a recovering conference addict. At one point during his undergrad career, he averaged one conference every second week, this includes running engineering competitions, attending industry conventions and of course the NBTC. Since graduating from Industrial Engineering 0T7+PEY, he worked in management consulting servicing clients through business process planning, change management, and mergers & acquisitions. Patrick believes that involvement in extracurriculars is not merely an activity, it is a lifestyle.
